LCL stands for less than a container load, and is generally used in instances where a customer doesn’t have enough cargo to fill and entire standard size container. Security can often be a concern for customers where LCL cargo is concerned, so in order to maintain a high standard of service, we had to ensure that our consolidating partners were able to close containers containing part-loads in these hubs owing to the huge inland costs to exit ports.
